CONSEGNATO ALLA SVEZIA IL PRIMO ELICOTTERO NH-90 ANTI-SOMMERGIBILE
Lo scorso 17 Dicembre la NH Industries ha consegnato alla Svezia il primo elicottero NH-90 in configurazione anti-sommergibile (ASW). L’elicottero costruito a Donauwörth (Sede dello stabilimento di Airbus Helicopters) è dotato di un sonar ad immersione ed un radar tattico multimodale oltre che da un’ampia cabina che offre maggior spazio agli equipaggi.

NH Industries delivered the first NH-90 in full anti-submarine warfare (ASW) configuration to the FMW (Swedish Military Procurement Agency). This helicopter was built in Donauwörth (Airbus Helicopters facility), it’s equipped with a new generation mission system tailored to the Swedish specifications. This mission system includes a dipping sonar and a multimode tactical radar. The Swedish NH-90s are characterised by their high cabin in order to give more space for the crews.
In total, Sweden has ordered 18 NH-90s, 13 equipped for search-and-rescue missions (SAR) and 5 in ASW configuration. In the frame of today’s delivery, FMV and the manufacturer NH Industries have also signed a contract to modify four already delivered NH-90 from SAR (Search And Rescue) to ASW configuration, bringing the total Swedish NH-90 fleet to nine ASW and nine SAR aircraft.
Prior to delivery, the aircraft has been thoroughly tested by the Swedish acceptance team in Donauwörth and over water in Marignane.
As of today NHI and its partner companies delivered more than 260 helicopters to 13 customers, the fleet in service approaches the 100.000 flight hours in operation.

In totale la Svezia ha ordinato 18 NH-90: 13 equipaggiati per le missioni di ricerca e soccorso (SAR) e 5 in configurazione ASW. L’Agenzia di Procurement Militare svedese (FMV) e la NH Industries hanno già firmato un contratto per modificare quattro NH-90 già consegnati da versione SAR a versione ASW, ottenendo 9 elicotteri in versione ASW ed altri 9 in versione SAR. Prima della consegna il velivolo è stato accuratamente testato dal team di accettazione svedese a Donauwörth e collaudato in acqua a Marignane. Ad oggi la NH Industries e aziende partner hanno consegnato più di 260 elicotteri a 13 clienti, la flotta attualmente in servizio raggiungerà a breve le 100.000 ore di volo.
